Default Saturday 5/24/08 @ Dauphin Island!!! Update to story!!!!!!!

We where supposed to go fishing and it just didn't work or so it seemed. We scrapped the fishing plans because of the forecast and it was a good call, we instead made a beach and wade fishing day instead. It was pretty rough out front in the am as predicted but the backside of the island at the cut was like glass then afternoon it had calmed down a little out front so went to investigate. We chased schools of Bonita and Spanish around for few hours and there where acres of hard tails around the rigs south of the cut, if we where king mackeral fishing this would have been the place to be. At this point it had calmed down a little more to about 3-5 foot rollers at 8-10 seconds so I decided to head out to some rubble and see if we could find some Triggers and Bee-liners and we ran up on a log and looky here at what we found, made up for blown day real quick.

update to story down in the post.

Yup that's a dandy of a catch for sure, but what is it? I'd trade off a day at work for some of that anytime. ☺

Yes, it was quite a nice prize package for a small tournament. We got 3 rod/reel combos, 2 ice chest,2 pair of sun glasses,3 or 4 gift cards,$150,some tackle, and gift cert. for 1 engine servicing now I only have to pay for the other one
All total of about $700-$800, I wish it would have all been in gas cards

If Lee had a 31Contender and unlimited gas cards he could win every tournament, If it swims Lee can catch it.
