Lil' tim,

Traditionally, the best time to catch a triple digit yellow fin is between Jan and March at the lump. However, this year has been a tad off, although a few studs were brought in during January. Never can tell, they might go banshee tomorrow.

Do not expect 5 star accommodations, or beaches. If there is something you cannot live without, bring it with you. I would suggest some serious 'skeeter repellent.

As far as leaving your wife in New Orleans, I'd make sure she had someone to travel with, like Chuck Norris. Just kidding, kind of, but a woman alone in that city is not safe. If you do not know your way around, you can be in a bad situation quick. There is a certain element there that prey upon unsuspecting tourists.

I second this!New Orleans is NOT a place for someone that has never been there before or be by themselfs.
