Default Scouting new area

Went out scouting new areas today for trout and reds. Left the boat ramp in Pearlington (Hwy 90) and ran down the Pearl River heading towards the Rigoletts. Unknown to me my GPS was not working correct so after running 7 miles down the river I reliazed that I had the wrong chip in my machine.
Tried fishing by the train bridges and nothing. After about 2 hours of fishing that area I dedcided to run out to the Biloxi Marsh or Louisiana Marsh area (so I think) about 7 miles southeast from where I was fishing. This is an area with litterally about 100 marsh islands. I found some marsh islands that loooked fishy to me and started fishing and as soon as my Gulp Shrimp hit the water I had a 20" red on. Fished for about 1 hours and caught 2 more reds about the same size and started heading back.
My plan as I was heading out (remember no GPS) was to head out The Rigoletts and come back in Pearl River. Thanks to the many years of expierence that I have on the water and also of the knowledge of reading and charting charts I was able to have a successful day of scouting.
The hell with charting charts.........to much work..........Does anyone know where I can get a chip for a Raymarine RC 435 Chart plotter in the Slidell Area ?

Glad you caught a couple fish and also glad you found your way home. Those marshy islands all look the same....

Fernando, you might want to launch at LaFrance in the future. I've heard about a lot of thefts at Pearlington.

WE didn't make it out, had a motor go down in Southwest Pass. I saw Eddie and a few more guys come in with some disapointing catches. A couple more boats came in with a few fish. This was Sat. and nobody really got into them big time.
