Default Daytona fishing in early May

I'll be driving over to the Daytona area the first week in May for a family wedding. I'll be there for almost a week, so I thought I would slip off and do a little fishing. Anyone have any tips on where to go for a few hours, short drive, no boat? I thought I would take the 9wt fly rod and a 7ft med action spinning rod. I just dont have room to take a great deal of gear. Thanks.

Google Ponce Inlet, Fl and you can find a bunch of info about that area.
On the north side of the inlet you have a park with a nice jetty to fish off.
