Default Fish Venting

Bluffman2 , aka Stephen , THANK YOU for sending me the Venting tools .

Did those come from Sea Grant or Mississippi Marine Sport Fish tag and release programs.

They will be VERY handy and easy to use With very easy to read instructions.

And are these FREE to anybody.

Lester

What are venting tools?
I had searched for a very long time to find a way to successfully release deep water trout and salmon with expanded swim bladders. I called universities, fisheries management offices, and lots of tackle shops (Typical tackle shop answer: "Just squeeze the air outta dem!"). I didn't get any valid technique ideas on how to make sure the juvenile fish would survive upon release.
Is a venting tool designed for releasing air from the swin bladder? Or is it just a tagging tool?
Thanks,
Dave

Although the tip of a fillet knife will work, I believe this particular tool will perform the job in a much more effecient fashion.

Thanks for posting the graphics Stephen.
