Arrow 12-31-2010 Last trip of 2010!!

Couldn't ask for a better day for the last Fishing trip of the year!! Perfect weather great friends and calm Seas.
Headed out of OI around 7:00am 12-31-2010 and headed up to the Duck Research pier for some Striper action. Little did we know that we ran right past the fish off of Kitty Hawk!! Dave gave us a call just after we put lines in to head back south. We picked up lines and made short work of the trip back on slick calm waters.
The crowd had already gathered for the party and wasn't long before we put the first fish on ice. We were headed back to the slip by 12:30 with a limit. Great fishing and all within 3 miles and not far from the inlet!! Everyone on the water played nice as well. Hopefully they will hang around. Here are a few photos.

I'm jealous....I'd be lying if I said the thought didn't cross my mind to take my little 16' out there. That would be some fun but fuel range is kind of an issue and the cold water thing doesn't really excite me hah.

Wouldn't worry about the fuel range Alex. Saw what looked like a 12 ft aluminum John boat out there. It was a perfect day on the water. Good day to hear the motors purrrr.

Good to see all you cats out there on the water.. Great fishing both Thursday and Friday.. Here is 90"+ of Rockfish that Berry caught on ONE lure (white daisy chain type with green mojo to make it vertical in the water)..
