Default Oregon Inlet 9/14

Pretty good fishing for us yesterday, I think it was our first meat slam. 2 hoos, 4 blackfins and a dolphin. Started down around the 500 line in 40 fathoms and had our first hoo on before the spread was out. Start setting out again and before we get set long rigger goes; hoo #2. Feeling pretty lucky with 2 on tuna leaders and not wanting to wire up, we started hunting some tuna. One single about the 550, a mini dolphin about 560. Worked some rocks around the 590 in 40 fathoms and had a four banger of blackfins. Awesome bite had about a dozen crashes skying out; I almost forgot how fun those tuna bites are. with just 2 guys on board we had to tow a couple of those guys around a bit and the last one got grab by a hoo 15 yds behind the transom. Took me for a little ride, then got it out of his mouth but not to the boat before he got the rest and the stinger on my spreader bar. Finished up our day there without any more bites. Smooth ride home, good day. I'm am ready for those yellowbirds to start showing up. Just got a little baby fix of the tuna bite, now I'm jonesin'
