Default Tuna Teaser 6/24 report

Just a quick report from yesterday. Fishing has been pretty hit or miss the past few days, and sea conditions were also less than favorable but we made a go of it. Wind was blowing pretty good all day long. Fished south all day and caught a 6 dolphin, nice king, blackfin, barracuda, Bonita, and released a sail. We also had several mystery bites. All in all a fun day on the water!

Dave, got your pm, you shouldve stopped by!

That's what I get for posting from my phone I guess...Mark sorry you didn't make it out all week. We almost didn't go, it was whipping in the marina saturday morning. Wind blew from 17-25 kts ALL day long and seas were 4-6 with a 4 second wave period. Not awful, but definitely chopped up.

Not a lot of boats out there and not a lot of bait marked but we had a great time and got my buddy his first billfish!

I can't believe you went out in that mess. Running down the beach would be the only way I would attempt it with that wind. You guys probably went in the small boat too!! Enjoy it while you are young.

With the only decent fishing being south, we were able to run a couple miles off the beach in the calm water until we got a good enough angle to where we wanted to fish. Never had it head-to all day except for trolling because of the hard tide.

We went on the 45' saturday...I had my appendix out last week so I had to take it easy!

I will be heading to my dads on the Chowan this weekend the 30th. After that I will be wide open to go till Nov. If anyone wants to go on the weekends let me know. Josh and I will be going the weekend of August 7th. Anyone want to go give me a call. We will be billfishing as usual. We always catch some meat fish as well...Mark
