Default Big Rock Tournament

WOW - 883 pound fish at the scales...what a pig...Big Rock record and I am sure he will win the tournament.
$318,000 just for today for the first fish over 500 lbs. Will end up close to $1 Million by the time it is over.
What a day for the crew. Captain's first Big Rock also.

Looks like things might have changed. Horrible news for a local Outer Banks Boat, I couldn't even imagine...

The big question is did the boat have a blanket NC license as most charter boats do?? If they did wouldn't this cover everyone on the boat. Why would you have to have a double license for everyone. Either way it is sticky situation. If this is over a fishing license then give the man a ticket make him go to court. It shouldn't mean a disqualification for the rest of the boat. I say write the check....Mark

Mark,

When I first heard about this I thought the same thing, why wouldn't the charter have a blanket license that would cover the entire boat.

The only thing i could come up with is maybe it's a rule of The Big Rock that each angler must have their own individual license, but I'm not sure as I have never fished The Big Rock.

It will be interesting to hear, but I agree with you they won who cares.....

The Citation was bought and turned into a private rig I believe. Regardless, we have a blanket license on the Tuna Teaser. Just easier that way. I also have a rec license.
