Smile Oregon Inlet fishing

Has anybody heard anything about any dolphin around lately? I am hoping after these storms pass maybe there will be some water holding them to move in. I know the sails are thick for right know. So thick in fact that even a circus monkey could hook one.

I must be a circus monkey...although we have caught some and had good action , they have not exactly been free jumping into my boat.. But tomorrow is another day and we are going on Tag N Stick...Hope we see'm and catch a few.
Not much interest in dolphin when this sailfish bite has been hot. Probably down around the Point if you can find a good change/grass ..Sails will probably go away if we have a good blow!
Good Luck!

I agree with Dave. I was going out this weekend for Sails and a possible white But I dont think the weather will let us this weekend. Really not interested in dolphin right now the freezer is full. Hey Dave good luck and looking forward to a report and some photos!! Are you planning a outing over labor day weekend??...Mark

Thanks circus monkeys. We caught the sails last week, though not jumping in the boat for us either. Missed out on the hot gaffer bite by work and wind. Just hoping for a last shot at freezer glory.

Well the "circus monkey" sage continues.. Weny off shore yesterday (thursday) on Tag N Stick. First off it was a beautiful day on the water. Fished +/_ the 900 line from 50-200 fathoms. Saw some sails free jumping but no bites. We had three fish in the baits and 1 was hooked briefly but no go...Top charter boat had 4 so the big bite has slowed down. I noticed only a couple boats out of Pirates Cove today so be interesting what they did..Hope they re-group after Danny goes by...
Regards,
dw
