Fishing offshore N.J. cape may

Just picked up a new 24' Boston Whaler. Want to fish offshore N.J, new to this, how far out in moderate conditions should I venture. ( Been running boats all my life, just not offshore.)

What species will be the easiest to target?

Where do I find Wrecks, or know where to go?

Need help, Eric
