Default Va Beach Rundown this week 6/1-6/6

Well it appears that summer has finally fought it's way into the beach area temps reaching up to the mid 90's and fishing to match. We had some boats go east, south and some throttle up leave the jetty and put the breaks on within 2 miles. The boys that went south and east came back with dolphin, yellowfin tuna, mako and a billfish release. The boats that have been in the bay and on the coast have found the cobia and are starting to put them on the dock up to 60lbs so far. Now comes everybody favorite the spade fish have showed up in big numbers up to 12 lbs making the charter, recreational, and spearfishermen happy all around. Now earlier we said some boats cmae to a screeching halt outside the inlet well that is beacuse the were seeing red! A giant school of red drum up to 55 inches crusing right outside the inlet which also hade some cobia mixed up in it, there were enough fish to keep a charter busy for a half days and sore for three days after.

Well thats it and the suns peeking out time to fire the diesels up and head out to see whats chewing after this front has passed

Also you boat less fisherman don't forget the piers and what little beach we have to fish. Croakers roundhead small spot small flounder puppy drum occasional speck and any other small fish that may bite a baited hook.

Man, that's a lot on the menu! A twelve pound spadefish must be a real workout on some light gear. Sounds like fun.
