Default Specks & reds........

Got a call around 1 asking if I wanted to take a boat ride........Said ok, only if I could bring a rod........
Good thing I did - caught 3 of the smallest Specks on Gulps ( all released )..........

Went dock jumping for Reds arrive at the dock in question & a fellow angler who has finished fishing & caught his limit, offers us his last 6 live Shrimp ( thanks again ).....
Because there were 2 of us fishing I had only 3 Shrimp...............
First cast Red on - second cast Red on lose him at the boat - third cast throw off my last Shrimp........
My buddy ends with 3 Reds on 3 Shrimp.........
Tried Gulp whie Shrimp without another bite........

Turned into a great day for a boat ride...........ICM

Yea you might have gone to fast and to heavy.
How deep and how cold was the water?

Next time try a flutter hook, throw it up current and work it slow.
