We have been selling the 27mr's for about 3 months and most whom purchase the 27mr have used the 17mr in the past. Personally I have only used the 17mr (27's little brother) and have had great success with the hard bait on Trout, Snook, Spanish Macs, Ladyfish, Bluefish and even Mangrove Snapper in the bay.

Well if the 17MR resembles a peanut bunker the 27 XL woul resemble a larger bunker. Striper candy.

I'd love a photo of a Striper with a 17MR in its mouth for our site if you have one.

Fished the Cape Fear River for Speckled Trout & Stipers throwing the MirrOdine 27 ( EC / CHBL / 50 )..... MirrOmullet ( 808 )....... MirrOlure Prop Bait ( 28 )...... Sinking TT ( 808 / RT )...... TopDog Pup ( 808 )....... MirrOlure Scaled Sardine ( old 33 MR - not made anymore ) & caught exactly nothing ---

About 20 boats, mostly playing fishing hopscotch, we would leave a spot someone else would try it & only saw 1 Speck & 1 Striper caught all day.......

Fished the same area that a friend caught 30 Specks the day before using the MirrOdine 17 ( 808 / EC / CHBL ).........oh well that's fishing......ICM

TIP using PropBait, given to me by a local guide that can flat out fish .........
When anchored up on a spot throw out the PropBait down current, place in a rod holder with a loose drag & let the current work it......... you will be surprised how many fish will hit it........ Good luck

Just an FYI that the MirrOlure factory burnt down last month and as such will be out of production until the end of Feb. 2009 at the earliest. Thus....if you've got a favorite lure you can not due without I'd pick a few up now before it is too late.
