I use the Stretch 25's and 30's trolling for Rockfish (striped bass) in late fall and winter on the Chesapeake Bay. I use mono 'cause I'm cheap, but braid will let the lure dive deeper. I don't run more than 2 at a time in my spread, because they tend to be kinda renegade in the way they run. I run them out of the rodholders usually, but sometimes on the outriggers (single rigged). Off the stern where one would have flatlines offshore, I run a couple of 3 way rigs with mojos pulling them down just off the bottom. Trolling speed is S-L-0-W, that is in the 2 knot area, some boats go too fast, I run one engine and drag the other one in gear, can get down under 2 knots that way. I have heard of people running them offshore for pelagics, but we haven't tried that. A lot of people hate these lures, because of the unpredictable way they run and also because of the treble hooks, (you might want to change them for singles), but they do catch fish some days.

They have caught me fish all three times I have ever used them on my own. I really didnt know what i was doing and i did catch stripers and lots of blues. 40lb power pro to a 25lb fluro 5' leader. i used stretch 25's and stretch 12's. Most of my experience is in freshwater.

I tried them once in my spread fishing offshore back in July. They look fishy, but I had a devil of a time running them with my Illanders. After 15 minutes, the mann's had tangled with a daisy chain I'd rigged. Next time, I think I'll run it off my downrigger

They are tough to keep running true at offshore trolling speed, I gave up and bought a yo-zuri mag diver which runs true up to 8 knots.

For stripers I love them @ 3knots and below. I rig them on ten feet of 50lb flouro and an offshore loop at the end. Main line is 50lb or 65 lb braid with a snap swivel at the end. I keep four or five rigged in a bucket, different sizes and colors and can switch them out in a second.

I usually troll just 2 at a time, and it 's easier if they are different sizes, one 25 and one 30. The do tend to wander side to side, more than 2 ends up being ugly for me.

I run a Mann's or a Yozuri Bonita on the corner under a spreader bar. Have caught tuna kings and a fair amount of wahoo on them. I think it gives a good dimensional look to the spread and looks like it is chasing the bait in the spreader bar....when they don't hit it I think it helps to bring stuff in that then hits my meat in the spread. I run them on about 12' of 50-80# flourocarbon.

Run the stretch down the middle WFB. Run your other line the way you normally would. The stretch will wobble side to side a little this way you won't tangle the other lines.

we usually run two but sometimes three if the bite is a little slower. If we run the third one its coming from the bridge pole to avoid tangles. I'd rather troll just two.
