Default Butterfly & Deep Jiggin

Just interested in who has deep jigged before. If so what was the water depth and what species of fish were you after.

For me I've jigged on several occasions to a depth of 130' and caught Amberjack, Grouper, Snapper & Cudas. The largest fish was an AJ that went just under 50lbs. My son loves it and also caught a nice AJ last time out. We generally use 5oz. & 7oz. Williamson Abyss & Benthos.

We are thinking of putting a package of say 10 deep jigs on auction here to raise money for TBR. Would you be interested in bidding? Would a smaller or larger package of jig interest you more?

I'd bid on that Jeff. 10 jigs seems about right to me. We've only done it a couple of times and caught amberjack. Loads of fun. Plan on doing lots more due to the gas prices.
