Hey Welder,

Some of the top jiggers in the world seem to like it .... on the other side of the pond. I spooled two Daiwa electrics with 70lb PE-5 but haven't put a good test on it yet ... boats been down. I put a knot/weight test on it ... not bad.

Jeff, received your line, the reel took the whole 1500yds with room for a top shot.

Great Red. Post some photos of the complete set up when you get the new fishing rod.

As always we appreciate your continued business.

Jeff

Lester ... Are you thinking about using it on a jigging rod/reel ?

I looked at the International with 1500 yards on it, "With room for a topshot". I'm sitting here wondering to myself what I'd ever tangle with that could need 1500 yards of line. Whatever it is is bigger than I am 'cause once it has stripped off a mile of line against the drag, I'm probably going to say "OK, you win" and just cut the line. I cannot imagine the battle to recover 1500 yards against anything without pistons that took that much line....

My guess Kern is deep dropping for swords. Bottom fishing in 1000 to 2000 feet of water. I've only done it one time so far and it takes a few minutes for the bait to hit bottom (using a brick for a sinker) and about 8 or 9 minutes to reel it back up after the brick has been broken off. We hooked and lost a big mako and had it boatside in pretty short order. Not toooo bad, but I felt it the next day.

I'm using it for both with a short top shot, it's supple/silky ... I don't think it'll take much abrasion.

Being able to tell your depth is a + if you're marking suspended fish.
