I will be visiting Dauphin Island next week and want to spend a little time fishing while there. I have never been saltwater fishing so I would love recommendations for equipment and bait (live and otherwise). I plan on fishing from the jetties and piers. Since our beach house is literally steps away from the beach. I suspect that I will be surf casting quite a bit as well. I plan on stopping at the Wal-mart in Mobile on my way in to Dauphin Island to pick supplies up so if I can grab the tackle/bait there that would be cool.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
