Default Interest Chum Dispenser For Bottom Fishing

This looks like an interesting tool for dispensing chum while bottom fishing.

Details on our site @ Chum King Dispenser

Details on the manufactures site (higher prices but more info) @ Chum-KingTM-The #1 bait release system

Thoughts?

I think it will either attract a lot more Sharks or be cut off by a Shark.............When we Grouper fish with cut bait we throw carcass' in a bucket, when we pick up anchor, them dump the bucket overboard...........If we start catching Sharks we move..........ICM

Looks like something I'd lose quickly... I've played with all sorts of chum bags, but it's so rocky and deep (and heavy current) around here that everything attached to my anchor gets lost, and we can't keep a drop line down very well when the boat starts swinging on the hook.

I've resorted to a slightly lower-tech method... freeze the chum, put the chum block in a brown paper sack, and zip tie the sack to the anchor just before we drop the hook. It helps to have the anglers all baited up and ready to go because when the "chum bomb" drops, the 20# yelloweye and 100#+ halibut tend to go berserk!

Case,

Love your "lower-tech" idea.
