Default where to stay and fish

Been on the west coast all my life, where could i tow my 255 whaler to this winter and when and rent a slip and a cottage for a couple of months go out and fish for what ever see the area and maybe snokel a little. Been thinking somewhere in the west coast side of florida?,want to see clear water and fish for a variety of fish.

Where are you when saying west coast/ are you on the west coast of Florida or the west coast of the US ?
What exactly are you looking for and what time of year ?

west coast of US just looking for some place to go in the winter to fish and enjoy the area. Getting tired of snow and cold, I dont know the fish in south and looking to learn and see what appeals to me and the wife. Did see a show where they were taking tarpon under the bridges at least they were trying. looked like fun. Iam retired 56 and so time isnt a problem would like good weather though
