Default Yesterday's Trip...........

Well the Weather Man got it wrong....again!
He called for 2 ft. seas with a 16 sec. - more like 3 to 4 with a close chop......

Passed the WB boat ramp around 5:30 - there was a line of boats making their way out, when we hit the end of the No Wake Zone - it looked a Bass Masters Shotgun Start - all racing close behind each other out MBI.....

We ran to our first spot 40 miles out & Capt. Jim jigs up a Fat Red on his first drop.......To choppy to anchor up so we drifted & picked up a few Pinkies & a Grunt.

Decided to troll for Dolphin on ledges & humps ( do not always find a weed line ) - using Hank Brown rigs with dead Cigars, 6" Storm Shad & Yozuri DD. Started catching Dolphins - landed 6 on top every few minutes - no double hooks, never saw them grouped together, they never came to the boat.........

We lost 5 due to operator error - one was a nice Bull that one of the guys did his best " I seen this on a Saturday morning fishing show - rear back & set the hook", but lose the fish - he made up for it with the Biggest Red & the most abuse of the day..........

When to another spot on our way in picked up 3 more Reds for the cooler. A 1/2 to small Gag, a dozen Pinkies & a few Grunt all released

No Kings, no AJ's & only 1 Barracuda........ICM

That's a far cry from a skunk'n in my books!

All that wave action sure does give your bait a liver presentation to it.

Nice catch.
