I use storms 6" stick baits (shiny metallic top with black bottom), regular plain old ava jigs and buck tail jigs as well as storm 6" swim baits.Large rattle traps work wel too and an assortment of large top water plugs. (not into trolling)These baits work well for both blues and stripers. Take the same baits and reduce the sizes and you have some nice weakfish tackle as well. I fish the Ny Harbor regularily and this is pretty much what i use. I have a place in the harbor in the summer where i have to leave after about two hours becuase i am tired of reeling in blues. I catch stripers in this same spot and a few others in the fall and spring cathing stripers.
