Default Fuel managment system

I run a single Honda BF225 , what would work best for me and what kind of $$ am I looking at.

Just something simple , I don't need it to cook breakfest for me.

The simple solution is the Floscan analog single gage. It will show you your instantaneous consumption with a needle, so you can trim or tab to get the best fuel numbers for the speed you are making and will also show you the total gallons used since re-set. I trust 'em more than the gas gage. You fill the tank, zero the meter and if it says you used 52 gallons, you'll put it about 51.5.

There's one listed on eBay for $200 that is good for up to 32 gallons per hour. That is the size I ran on the Stamas with Honda 22's and I never hit 32. I'll PM you the link

I had a floscan on my last boat which had Honda BF225. The floscan worked great. I had the digital guage which tells you everything.....Mark

The two units above will do it affordably but you will only get gallons per hour. If you want miles per gallon as well you will have to get the speed sensor as well (below) but is a paddle wheel and wont be 100% accurate in the mpg area but will be close.

http://www.lowrance.com/Products/Mar...s/EP-25-Speed/

A more percise way to get mpg is to forget the speed paddle wheel sensor and buy a lowrance cable and a cable from what ever your electronics manufacturere is and splice the two together. My cousin linked a Ray c-80 to his lowrance lmf-200 guage and the lowrance lmf-200 now automatically converts gallons per hour to miles per gallon. Another friend has a bass boat and linked his Smartcraft guage that only gave gallons per hour to his lowrance lcx-26 ff/gps display and it now also converts gph to mpg. I hoped i explained all this properly the way it was explained to me a few months ago.

Anyone have any experience with this system from Northstar?

Pros Cons? I found one as low as $99 online from Boaters World.

Thanks,
Wayne

That is the Navman with the Northstar name on it, no problem with that unit at all.

Looks good but the min. fuel burn is 1.3 GPH , I need one that starts at zero burn.
