Default 198C Transducer trouble.......

I have to replace ( one of two ) of the Transom Transducer because it being held together with zip ties after the plastic mounting bracket broke.......

Would like to replace it with 200/50KHz, 12/45deg, plastic, adjustable, in-hull mount transducer
Part Number: 010-10327-00

Does anyone have experience with this transducer or a better suggestion?

Going in the bilge ( hatch in front of the starboard engine ) on a 22' Twin Vee Cat ..........

Thanks.......ICM

I ran a 26' T Vee after Katrina for Seatow with a Garmin in it. The transom mount will work fine in the bilge just glue it down. Ours broke on the transom as well and we just put it in the bilge and did not even glue it as we always had some water in there from pumps on the boat and such. Just glue yours down and you will be fine

Update..........Moved the transducer to inside the sponsom & it's working great at all speeds without any image loss......
Moved the transom mounted transducer ( they installed it right behind the live well clam shell pick up ) to the right outside edge of the Port hull & it also reading at all speeds.......Thanks.....ICM
