Question Garmin 178C to 498C

I have a 178C and I would like to buy a 498C. Anyone know if the wiring is the same? It looks like the harness from the 178 will work on the 498. I would really hate to redo the wiring, its a real tight fit in my console.

Thanks

Having your lifejackets on board and not wearing them is like putting your seatbelt on during a car accident.

Just plug in the 498 and you are ready to roll

Your welcome. I see you have kayaks... I have 2 Malibu X Factors and going to a demo tomorrow to look at a Hobie. Pretty addicting!

Funny thing is I have not been on a yak once this year, maybe when we take them to OBX

My brother is a kayak nuts and fishes 90% from it. He just bought a new one. Not sure what it is but he can stand up in the thing.
