Default vhf help

my vhf is cutting out on me...whether someone is 500ft or 5 miles when i key the mic up the first 3 or 4 words are loud and clear and then they say it just goes muffled...ive tried on both hi and low settings and have checked the ground.....and i am holding the mic all the way in while trying to transmit.....anyone have any ideas whats going on........ thx Stephen

Not enough power to the radio.

Run a dedicated +12V dc to a seperate bus bar for your radio and GPS. That was the problem that I ran into...

The important thing to do is take the radio 12v feed off your switches.
