Default garmin gpsmap 5012

I intend to purchase this new stuff but since it's fairly new in the market I am afraid of any flaws ("childhood disease" like ).
Have you heard anything or maybe some personal experience?

I've played with the 5012 on a friends boat and have another friend who just built a new boat that will also have the 5012. The machine is amazing and as of now I have not heard anything bad about it.

If you need a price quote let me know.

I got one of the very first 4012's (or what ever the new 12 inch is with the buttons) and it would sometimes not power up. I called Garmin and they sent a brand new one and paid the freight both ways.

That works for me. Great customer service even makes beta testing fun.

I have used the 5212 touch screen 12" unit. Fantastic, that about sums it up. Ordered one for my new boat it is that impressive. Ran 350 miles round trip from Orange Beach Al, to La marsh and the unit's performance was just excellent. Highly recommend it.

My buddy was setting his new 5212 up last night. I love the menu functions, so easy to navigate. We also watched a little of King Kong (the dvd) on the display, nice picture quality

BTW my 10% off deal with Fair Weather works on electronics also. See http://www.theburningreel.com/forums...read.php?t=260

Email me if anyone wants a price quote, we can get most major brands.

I just ordered a 5212 from Tigergps.com, my Raymarine C-80 way to hard to work while
watching the lines. Will run it this weekend from OI hopefully a good fishing report to follow. Look on You tube they show it in action, two times out with it and you will be a master. Garmin is way to user freindly, and the customer service is unbeatable.
