Default Moving

Ok guys I will be looking for some help. I took a new job in Norfolk Va and we will be moving. I have about 6 months of training before we move. I will be looking for some new fishing buddies for next summer.

I'm in that boat too Chuck. I'm moving down to Edenton NC in a few weeks and need to get familiar with all the possibilities down there too. Good luck with your move and look me up when you are settled. I keep my boat in Hatteras and fish mostly out of there.

I live in Suffolk, but my girlfriend is pushing for me and her to move to Norfolk until she finishes up med school.

What size boat do you have? What type of fishing you like to do?

Know where you'll be moving in Norfolk?

Regardless, I'd be glad to fish with you (your boat or mine).

If you're coming up here for the next 6 months before you actually move, you'll be in prime striper season.

Not sure where I going to live yet. I am coming up this weekend to take a look around. I can live within 50 miles on Norfolk. But I wont have any time for fishing. I got a 22' tidewater CC. I like to fish inshore and offshore.

Depending on where you're working and what time you need to be in, you'll want to be pretty close. Traffic is crazy. My girlfriend lives 3 miles from med school in Norfolk. Literally 3 miles. Those 3 miles happen to be through the tunnel. Her morning commute is 30 minutes most days...

For me this past summer I was 31 miles to work. 35 minutes in the morning. 1hr 45min in the afternoon.

If that comes across as patronizing (for example, you're from Norfolk originally and moved down to MS) just ignore it...

You should maybe investigate the lift keeping abilities of wanchese, here.

Selling the trailer would pay for three years beside Offshore's Contender.

Different fishery, yes, but,

There's a very good striper fishery here, especially if you're close.

Yup, I've been considering that Chris. I'll definitely be fishing OI and up near Edenton but my home grounds really feel like Hatteras. Lots of friends and familiar faces down there.
