Louisiana & Guatemala Fishing Reports

Venice: Wed 24hr trip on the Strike Zone II...Capt Kevin Aderhold, Capt. JW Berry and Seth Holl took a long trip to the south west...like over 100 miles....seas 2 to 4 for half the trip and 3 to 5 after midnight. They were working drill ships so they could stay on the calm side to fish all night. An what a night of fishing. Local anglers from New Orleans that new how to fish. The had 14 Yellowfin with the largest over 125 lbs and the Blackfin you want to catch. With all that bait the Big Blues will be in shortly.

Guatemala: Holly week is a big week for local fishermen in Guatemala. The boats were booked with local anglers. The Strike Zone fished three days with 10 Sails tagged each day. On Saturday Alvaro Fortune fished the National Tournament on the Strike Zone. They went out 50 miles and with in minutes after they put the riggers out they had a 250 lb Blue in the baits. He wanted to play but he did not want to eat. Not long after the baits were back out a 400lb Blue was trying his luck at the teaser. It only took two hits at the teaser and the mate had the fresh ballyhoo in his mouth. This gentleman was angry. After one hour they had a tag in this bad boy. On Friday of Holly week, the Jacpot had a group that was not so lucky...they went 5 for 10 Sails. Last week on Thursday Pat Anderson was back in Guatemala with some of his friends. The ran out 45 mile to find a school of SAIL'S.... they went 20 for 35 on the Sails and a S_ _ _ load of Bull Dolphin. Friday had Pats friend Jerry and his wife on the 55' Jacpot to fish a half day and they were 5 for 10 on the Sails.

We have two spots open for the May trip to Guatemala....Come catch the FUN

The fishing in Louisiana and Guatemala is heating up....the seas this week are looking good for both locations. Capt Kevin has two 24 hrs trips on the 55' but at this point the 39' is open. Give us a call for some good fishing action. 225~279~3800 or 985~966~2666
