Default Southport BFTs ????

Has anyone heard anything out of the Southport area in the past few days??
I know they have caught some Wahoo offshore and a few BFT bites between the fairway bouy and the horseshoe last week. Any news over the past few days?? I know it has been a little on the rough side.... Mark

Fernando,
I have been spooling 130 hollowcore today on some of my reels. I am trying to do a trip in the next few weeks. Learned my lesson on the last one and went up in line class. I had the drag but not the line class to go with it. It only takes once for me to correct an error like that. Thursday might be a possible trip.......Mark

Mark,
We are looking to go on Friday out of Topsail. Going to try Dallas Rock, and then to the Battle Zone. I have heard of fish sitings off Topsail, but none hooked or landed, but if they are in MHC and off FPT they should be around Topsail as well.

No, turned out my fishing partner had a surprise family visit, and had to cancel at the last minute. Boy, sometimes the holidays are just too much family. Maybe next week, but the weather looks real crappy through Wednesday.
