Default Bragging Rights

I thought I'd do a little bragging for one of the captains in Hatteras. Jay Kavanaugh sent me a Christmas card with his yearly newsletter in it. These are the totals for the Bite Me this season: 11 blue marlin, 15 white marlin, 35 sails, 12 bluefin tuna, 196 yellowfin tuna, 59 blackfin tuna, 1,980 dolphin, 154 wahoo, 93 kings, and 2 mako sharks! They caught the most billfish in the fleet and one day released 8 sailfish. Holy crap, that's some fishing. Both Jay and his mate are real class acts too.

Good point Matt. I'll send him a link to this thread. Also, man would I love to be able to work as a mate on a boat like that for say 6 months or so.

Yup I saw Jersey's add on THT. That's a great boat too. I'm really just daydreaming about doing it. It is brutal work but can you imagine how much you could learn in 6 months?

Default Thanks!

Thanks for the kind words the Capt Fred.

A couple of years ago, I started to keep track of every fish we caught in each year.

Some interesting trends from last year:

Blue ones the same.

White ones way down.

Sails Way up!

Blackfins up.

Yellowfins down.

Dolphins up!

Wahoos way Up!

Thanks folks and we hope to see some of you in 2008.
