Default Hatteras Offshore Billfishing - Seeking Crews 7/19-7/31

Greetings folks!

Sailfish and blue & white marlin are currently cruising the waters offshore of Hatteras.

While it cannot be said that the fishing has been gangbusters, the Hatteras fleet is releasing members of all 3 species on a daily basis.

I'd like to put as many trips as possible together (to include both overnighters and day trips) between 7/19 & 7/31 inclusive.

Ideally, we'd like to plan trips where we spend a couple of hours seeking some dolphin & wahoo for the table en route to the offshore waters, spending the bulk of the day trolling for billfish; however, we're certainly willing to accommodate the preferences of a given crew for a given trip.

Further details are available at Tempest Sportfishing.

As always, if you're interested, please give me a shout via the email address or phone number in my signature.

Update ….

The sailfish have started snapping pretty well in the last couple of days.

I’ve got a few boys who are interested, but need to fill in the holes to make it work.

Give me a shout and let’s go get ‘em.

Good day all!

A quick update ....

My trip dates have changed and I'm now looking at 7/26 thru the first two weeks of August.

FYI, I've received an inquiry from a Staff Sergeant who is home in Goldboro, NC on R&R from Afghanistan who is interested in spending a day fishing offshore before he has to head back overseas.

The last day he can fish is 7/28.

He's willing to pay his share of the fuel, bait & ice for the day, but I'll be darned if I'm going to take any money from an active duty serviceman who is serving our nation in a place like Afghanistan.

As some of the folks who have fished with me are aware, a long, long time ago in another universe the USMC treated me to a years’ all expense paid vacation overseas in a tropical paradise, so I have some appreciation for his service. ;-)

I've got a possible partial crew for 7/26 but I still need another guy or two to make it work. I'll eat his share if needed, but I need at least 3 firm crew to make it work.

FWIW, there have been two grand slams on the boats running out of Hatteras in the last week. I.E., a blue marlin, a white marlin and a sailfish with decent numbers of billfish being caught by other boats.

If you can make a trip work between 7/26 & 7/28 inclusive, let's step up and carry this young man out to blue water for a day before he has to head back over there.

Of course, I've got plenty of open spots beyond 7/28 if your schedule won't work in that time frame.

As always, just give me a shout via email or phone if you're interested.

Evening folks,

This is a quick bump update to advise that we've still got plenty of slots open between 7/29 - 8/15.

In addition, the forecast suggests that 7/29 thru 8/1 should all be pretty days.

Personally, I can't think of a better way to kill a day away from the inland heat and weekend 'honey do' chores' than prowling the blue water offshore of Hatteras for marlin, sails, dolphin and wahoo with the hope of screaming reels and bent rods.

Just give me a shout and let's make it happen!
