Default Sunday-Monday Report

Had a couple buddies in town Thursday for some fishing but with the forecast we delayed our plans of Friday-Sunday and opted for Sunday Monday on the water. Set out Sunday looking for a few tuna bites and then some dolphin to send home with them. Fished from the mid 600's to low 500's. Several charters around us were picking at them but no love for us on our outboard. Stayed after them a major part of the day and decided to push inshore looking for some dolphin, ended the day with one gaffer and Jim's first billfish a white that crashed the left short which came in 50 fathoms in pea green water.

Overcame a minor steering issue on the run in Sunday to fish Monday, had the urge to run up north to see if we could find some billfish but these guys just wanted meat so off we went back to the same area the tunas were in yesterday. Picked up one yellowfin right out of the box and that was it for the tunas, fished a pretty weedline the rest of the day and bailed our limit of dolphin on a couple stops and added another white for Jim in 100 fathoms. Back to work for me today but those guys enjoyed so much they delayed their trip home to the the midwest today and chartered the trophy hunter hoping for a few more tunas to carry home

Nice work on the whites and filling up the box with dolphin. The tuna are hard to catch this time of year.
