Default Bev Perdue Flyover...

Saw the thread on THT and have requested my username and password from the admins so I can log back on...wonder how long that will take? First time in 2 years.

I wonder how much Gov Purdue saw this morning from her flight? Cause I crossed the bridge at 9:30 this am and I could only see about 10 feet due to the fog over the inlet..We're running 74 degree temps and 52 degree water here, and that dern dew point just can't keep up.

Sidecaster was out this afternoon, bar has shifted another 10 feet south...sidecaster was trying to keep it at bay.

They should have taken her for a boat ride and put the boat on one of the shoalings...Kept it there for a hour or two!!

Also, has anyone noticed the other side of the bridge down green isle slough? That's where all the sand is going from the sidecaster..That island has quadrupled in size inthe last few months....

Me thinks that sidecaster is contributing to the shoaling problems...Lots of conversation about problems around the the bridge but that moving sand is also piling up on the inlet bar and is getting increasingly nasty specially on outgoing tide...

I'm with you Dave, the dredging is just settling wherever the tide puts it. It might be getting moved from the channel at the main span, but it is making surrounding areas shoal up more.
