I see his boat in the picture, I had it's twin before I got the Alby; a 22' Wellcraft Coastal. Nice boat, I enjoyed mine for many years.
I'll probobly get down after 5pm tomorrow.
I was doing some searching and run up on this site from the Corp. on the channel, pretty good stuff.

Not sure what happened to my reply, so I'll try again.

We should make it down after 5pm tomorrow and I'll try to give you a shout Sat or Sun.

I was messing around and found some good information on the channel from the Corp.

Chris, we got down never a lot later than I expected. I've seen traffic that bad, we hit bumper to bumper at Grave Digger and it stayed that way all the way in. I took 3 hours from there to get in.
I'll try to give you a shout tomorrow, the boats in the water here at PC.

We ran offshore Oregon Inlet today and made our way down south off of Hatteras. Put lines in around the 360 line right on a hard temp break. There were several boats already there, not even bothering to troll, but instead out with their spinning rods bailing dolphin. We joined in and bailed a few before quitting to troll north to look for something a little bigger. Caught a small gaffer on the troll, lost another, and put another couple small gaffers in the box. That was all she wrote until we got up to the 540. Lots more life in that area, with porpoise and birds working. We started to get these knockdowns that would run off with the bait for a couple of seconds, then drop it. When we checked the baits, most of the time, there wasn't a mark on them. I figured later on that it must be some whiteys that were picking the bait up and just mouthing it. We did have a few whacks in a couple of leaders that I noticed when I got back home. All in all, a pretty day, but there were a lot of bailers. We heard that there were a few tuna caught wayyyy down south, and there were a few caught up around the Point, but they were way too small and had to be released. We definitly missed a few opportunties with the whites today, but I will try them again with some things that I learned today. Here's a few pics to show you what it looked like out there today

Not so good on our end either, started south of the point and work that area along with Chris. Started moving north and marked a few fish in the tide line. Finaly got up to the Tuna Hole after lunch and there must have been 500 whales all over. Worked that area good with nothing. Worked our way back east and reach the 200 foot mark about where Chris and I hit a marlin a few years ago and the short line gets hit but, couldn't see anything. Seconds later my son says marlin right rigger, he was working the pink/white Ilander over good but wouldn't take it. Tried dropping back to him, cranking up and nothing.
A few of the boat here at PC where down around the 418 and did very well on bailers.

Thanks to Blue H20 for the info.
