Greetings all,
Some old fishing buddies and a couple of new ones pooled our resources and fished 6/5, 6/6 & 6/8.
Depending upon where a given boat was fishing was good to excellent. By and large the better catches seemed to take place south of the triple 0's.
The first day we had 150 #'s of mahi cleaned at the ice house. We also had two blue marlin in the spread. The first got a free lunch by stripping the bait off of a rig without getting the hook and the 2nd disappeared back into the deep as it didn't appear to seem to like anything other than the teasers.

. Later we had a sailfish appear in the spread which pulled the same routine.
The 2nd & 3rd days weren't as fast, but we caught enough mahi to enable everyone to work bent rods and take some fillets home for the table.
I'm always interested in meeting people who are really into offshore fishing. If you can chip in for fuel, fine; if not, give me a shout anyway and as long as we've got room on the boat let's get out there and catch a few before the cost of fuel goes through the roof.
Important Note: This offer is intended for fishermen/women whose discretionary funds are being pinched severly by the current economy.
If you can afford to charter one of the full time professional charter boats in Hatteras, by all means do so. God knows their business is hurting as badly as most and they need the revenue more than I need to go fishing.
If you genuinely cannot afford a professional charter at this point, feel free to give me a shout if you are interested.
