Default 3/10 BFT Redemption

Well we found 'em today. we went 7-7 killed one that was 107#.We had a smaller class of fish than the past couple days, most ran about sixty pounds and one even smaller. We fished from about the 390-420 we were marking fish everywhere. Started south and put her down sea and only had to turn around on marks once. As soon as we'd get the spread back out after a fish put her down sea and bang we were back on. It was a good steady pick, no multiple strikes everything was singles. pnk/wht-3, blu/wht blu head-2, pink spreader-2 and the biggest. Did a little testing today; Jinkai 150lb 30ft wind-ons won 4 to1 over jinkai 130lb 10ft. with snap swivel inside squid skirts. Headed home at noon to look for some rock for a minute and back at the dock by 3 with out rock. Excellent day

Mark, I'm without a tow vehicle temporaily(hope to resolve this by next week), so if you need crew to try and jig some up, I'm more than happy to offer my services. I'd love to add a bluefin to my "list". I need to get down there and smell some salt air.
Good job Seth. It sounds like the bluefin are scattered all over the place. Almost sounds more like "catching" this week than fishing. Sure hope the ocean calms back down soon

Thanks fellas.
I told the boys I had some jigs and it got awful quite on the boat. Even those 60 lbers are strong probabaly whoop a yellowbird most days. 2 a piece + and everyone was good.
They were so thick; I've seen marks like that once or twice before. You could do no wrong, all the fish had everyone spread out it was one of my better days.

I'd love to get another day out there also before they split, but there was some71 deg water out there waiting for some yellows.
Thanks for the help Mark!

I'd like to at least try to jig one up...problem is we don't even have a jigging setup. I'm sure next time we go nobody will be able to catch them on the troll but only on the jigs hah.

Hope to get down there myself, the last week of the month, no telling what will be there, but it will be great just to get back in the water.

See Ya Offshore!
