***BFTs Out Of oregon Inlet 3/8/2010*** - Boating & Fishing Information and Reports Forum

We had a great morning bite with the BlueFins out of Oregon Inlet today. First spread set at 7:30 on the 289 line. 15 minutes later it was on with a tipple banger!! release clips popping BlueFins airing,Reels screaming, Drags buttoned down, Chaos on the TinaLouise no time for the donuts......After 40 minutes Boated one at 167lbs. 30 minutes later released one around 175-180 and lost one on a the triple banger!! Back at the slip at 11:30 !!!
Josh got some great photos and I have a hour of video. Ought to be pretty exciting.....So stay tuned for more action....I'm whipped Short but sweet day.. I think we all had a great time Thanks to Josh and Chris for coming on short notice!!......Mark

Sweet! Nice job there Mark. I cannot tell you how bad I wanted to go after seeing a pic of that fish back at the dock. Throw some bluefin steaks out the window as you pass thru Kenly for us

Pretty work...I wish we had ended up going on Sunday. It doesn't sound like anyone can keep lines in the water! Were most of the boats around there or north of you? What was the water temp?

Here are some better photos courtesy of Josh, hope you enjoy them. Alex I think we only counted 6 or so boats where we were when we were done fighting the Tunas, everyone was scattered and spaced from 1/2-1 mile apart. We were 1 of 2 boats there when we hooked up. 289 @ 65 fathoms..Mark
