Enjoyed my first duck hunt today at 0430 in 18* weather Despite the cold, we had a blast!! Jumped on the boat and ran across the resevoir to set up our blind on shore. Ended the day with 2 coots and 2 ruddy's. Could have shot a lot more , but the ducks seemed to want to swim right under our feet and not get up in the air. It was definitly a learning experience for me today as I've never hunted duck, and it sure is addictive. Here's a couple of pics
Well add that your list of addicting hobbies- another thing to spend money on! I went this morning on the Chowan. Broke a little ice on the way out and once setup I quickly found out my left boot has a leak in it... my foot hasn't ever been that cold but stuck it out. We had a little action as well knocking down 7 but only returning with 4. Widgeon, mallard, teal, and mercruiser
