Arrow ***dcs Polling***

Hey everyone!! We really need to work on the DSC polling with the radios. It would make things so much easier finding each other when we have a group of boats out on the water. Would be a great winter project and is not that hard to do. You just need a radio that can do the DSC polling and position request. What do you guys think. Jeff and I have tried it in the spring and it works well. Jeff's' is hooked up to his chart plotter now and mine will be as soon as I get a nmea connector with all the pins. When you connect your radios nmea out + - to the chart plotter it will put a mark on the screen for the location...Mark

I got my Icom and the SH to work together behind the panel, so it should be pretty easy.

All you need is a dedicated nmea bus bar for the 0183 guys, and some soldering skills.

You 2000 plus guys need some programming skills. If you can type on here then you can program a damn chartplotter. Get on it!
