Default Capt Fred's boat was missing 8-26-09

It was gone from the parking lot in NC all day 8-26-09. his van was at the launch in Hatteras, NC.

It was parked back where it was supposed to be 8-27-09.

I presume he was fishing from Hatteras NC.

He logged on today at TBR, but we have not heard a report from either him or Fishbard.

I wanna know what he found out out there.

You can't hide from TBR, well not while I'm driving the gas truck.

Chris, I don't know any more about it than you do, other than that he is a student these days and has classes in Elizabeth City on Tuesday and Thursday. I suspect he was out with his buddy Bill, who also lives in Edenton. I guess we will hear from him.

Man, there's no sneaking around in Hatteras! Thanks for keeping an eye on things Chris. I've got to get you a cop hat and pay you a wage for security services.LOL

I saw that forecast for 5 to 10 on Wed and I called Bill down the street and he called a friend (Brian) and off we went. We trolled past the weather buoy and saw a bunch of mahi beneath it but could not get them to bite anything on the troll. So we pulled up and threw some bits of squid and ballyhoo over and that got some interest from them so we started bailing them. Real mayhem for about an hour and we got 17 of them. Kind of big for the bailing technique but sometimes you've got to improvise!

Made it back home about 9PM.

Thanks again for keeping an eye on things Chris!

Nice job Ken. Will you or Chris go hug my boat next time down. She is on the other side of the main building tucked away beside the metal building. She is probably a little lonely. It's been 5 weeks.

Good job there Ken...just wanted a report from Hatteras. We're kinda thinking about a labor day trip if we can get a break from the hurricanes on the weekends here.

I have a habit of looking at the boats, both yours and Headhunt's as I drive past. Alan, your boat looked fine on Thursday. It's hard finding yours doing a drive by, there's another 236 in there that's white also. I saw it was parked on the north end of the other structure with just the nose sticking out. It does look pretty lonely.

I'll give it a hug Alan LOL. I'm going to my brother's in Mathews VA for labor day weekend so it will be a bit before I get back down. I've got to get you back on board Chris. Maybe in a couple weeks.

Yeah, my brother called me tonight and said the freezer is empty of fish, he was practically complaining. I started talking about the hot Sailfish bite up north about the 000's and he cut me off and said I wanna MEAT fish. I suppose we are related after all. We'll just have to find some hot water with good weedlines or structure and find some bailers.

David, you need to call browns point marine and have them send you everything for the 100 hour services if those engines are out of warranty. You can save a lot if you do the maintenance yourself on the Zuke's. They are simple easy to work on. My brother and I did the maintenance in about an hour flat, and that included dropping the lower unit and changing the impeller, engine oil and LU oil. Only thing I would take it in for is to check the timing chain and valve adjustment at the 500 hour mark.

Suzuki made maintenance super easy on these engines.
