The center span of the bridge is still shoaled up and not passable. OK to run 1st or second span south, and pick up the green can east of the bridge. Almost straight out. Just be careful of current. I do not know details but I understand a big boat hit the bridge Thursday am ....The crack is ok to run and stay close to the jugs for sure on the south end at low tide!.
Weather looks great and sorry I can not go , but I am committed to a CG Safety Patrol Sunday pm in my boat.
Good Luck!

South span is where the boys are going through although I also saw cc's running through the main span.

The Inger, a gorgeous 70' Ricky Scarborough, hit the bridge a few days ago. That bridge can be so tricky in a big boat when the current is ripping...heck we've come close a couple of times. Blend that with going through the south span and that it's supposed to be no wake because of construction, and it's a recipe for disaster.

The inshore charters we're talking about how good of condition the wood was in after seeing pieces of her floating off the beach.

Sad story.

I have a feeling though that in that pretty water something will come crashing through the spread. The billfishing has been great this year.

I'll be running outriggers this time tho, so you boys better watch out. The underdog always wins.

Underdog?? LoL. Not too sure about that label. We're going to try and catch some tuna early AM up to about 11 am and then we'll probally try and put some gaffers in the boat. I wish I hadn't lost that chart that Alan gave to me that shows the line #ers, but we lost it to a good cause I have a total of 4 guys(including myself), so I need to try and find them some fish if I can. Is anyone planning on putting in at OIFC besides us? We'll see you down there. Yell for "Relentless" if you wanna get ahold of me

If we go, we're putting in at the fishing center David.

Yell for Prodigal Son. I'm planning on following the biggest crowd when I leave the inlet and going from there, so that's my current plan unless someone tells me otherwise (650...) I'll know tomorrow whether we're in or out. Or, to phrase it more accurately: WE are in. I'll know tomorrow whether the boat is in or out.

Dave,

I'm fishing with Mark on his boat. We're planning to try a couple new things to us. When are you guys getting down there. Mark and I are heading down in the morning. Staying at the Elizabethean (sic) in Manteo.
