Default Rental Fee Question

We are renting for 2 weeks beginning Saturday June 27th. I noticed yesterday the home we are renting is not rented this week so I called to see if we could check in early (noon) they said yes but their is a $75.00 fee. I said fine and they charged my Visa card on file. 2 hours later I get an email reciept for the 75 bucks, plus tax. Along with that their was a Visa Convenience Fee of $29.95

I guess the $6400.00 rental for 2 weeks was not enough.

I called them back up to ask what the heck that was for. I was told that is charged anytime an CC is used. I explained nobody told me about the fee. Bottom line their is nothing they can do and won't refund my money. I won't name the company but its not Village Realty (Matt, Dave). This is the last time we will be using this company again.

I know Pirates Cove used to do have a fee for credit cards. I think there was so much hell raised about it they quit charging it. But They probably include it into the rental price now...Mark

I would not have minded if they would have told me upfront about the fee or if I was charging 4K or 5K. But for crying out loud they stupid fee is almost half of the early check in fee. I explained to the woman in customer service this was our 3rd year we have been using them and would be the last if the fee is not refunded. I have a feeling it will be our last.

I agree, I'd find another rental agency. What they are really saying is " sorry, but there is nothing we care to do to keep you as a customer." Easy decision.

Might not be as big a house, but I'll cut you a deal in the future - new furniture, we're repainting now. :-)

I've seen Greg's place and it is very nice. I was talking private pool. He does have the room to put in a very nice salt water pool

I'll let you use my pool in FL, the lot next door is not mine.
