We have yet to find a good pizza place in Nags Head or Manteo. The BEST pizza I ever had on the Outer Banks was a place called the Ginger Bread House in Hatteras, down by the ferry landing. That must have been 25 years ago.

I gave up on the good, local pizza search in Manteo and the surrounding area. We now simply get it from Pizza Hut . . . the one in Manteo is good.
My favorite pizza by far is at Toppers in Avon. We make the one hour trip each summer and then head down to the lighthouse with the kids. It makes for a good outing.
Slice in KDH is the best. period. It's a weekly occurrence at my house. They don't deliver. I wish they would buy propane from me. But I still eat the pizza. It's worth the drive.
