Default Got Him...

Well I've had my run ins so far this year with the blues but all have ended in failure. Finally....FINALLY everything went perfectly and we released one yesterday. Fished on a beautiful 34' Jarrett Bay express and aimed it up the beach after clearing lines at 5:30. Put the goodies out at about 7:45 and it wasn't but about 30 minutes when the left short pops and drag starts screaming! Right when someone asked what is it, what is it....the show began. 300# blue dancing through the spread as we raced to clear the lines! Got everything settled and the fight is on...15 Minutes later we've got leader and the morning has started off pretty good.

Got em set back out and trolled around when we had a mystery bite after lunch. Whatever it was it popped off so we checked our stuff and as I'm putting the lure back out we've got a peanut on the flat line. Seconds later mine gets whacked and we've got #2 on!! This rat was going psychotic on us. I mean greyhounding, tailwalking, flipping and ohh yeah taking line. Clear the stuff when 2 minutes into the deal he won his freedom and that was it. Picked up a dolphin right there at the end of the day. I only snapped a couple of pictures and they are pretty poor quality. Didn't really have enough hands on the boat to be taking pics. Great day on the water and it was a fun boat to be on. Hopefully just the beginning this year...moving back up to OI in a couple of days.

Good Deal!

Hopefully we will be able to raise a few while fishing with Dave! Looking foward to it!
