Mark, been running E-10 in the tank for 6 months now on the Suzuki.

Just make sure to vacuum bag a spare set of racors on the boat if she act's up.

The final test was filling up for the TBR fest with 90 gallons of E-10 on top of 30 gallons of straight petrol. I topped off with gas from Broad Creek (30 gallons) on Sunday, and have had no problems so far. I inspected my bowl after the fact and found nothing suspicious. The motor cranked on the third spin yesterday, just like it always does.

I really think running it at least once a week alleviates a lot of problems.

The techs at Joes Marine have told me to run out as much "real gas" as possible before adding the E stuff. Not good to mix. Also told me to use Startron additive with each fill....

Crap. I've got a 17 year old fuel tank. God only knows how much varnish is in there.

With the E-10 gas coming in NC more and more I think its time to change the fiberglass tank out. Does anybody know of anywhere local or anywhere else of a company that could make a aluminum tank?

Harbor Welding in Wanchese(end of street past Broad Creek marina) can build you a tank. I talked to one of the guys this am and You can bring them the old tank and they can duplicate it or bring them the boat and they will cut the old tank out and build a new one including pressure testing and installation. There is another good welder in Wanchese that could also build one.
Good luck!

I had these guys build me a tank and ship it up from Florida. Nice folks and good workmanship. They had built the original tank in the boat.

Gotta pick my boat up from Joe's tomorrow, fuel delivery issues, and probably the e10, but I'm not sure yet. Supposedly once we start using it all the time it will keep things clean, but I get different opinions depending on what I read or who I listen to. I hope to fish this wednesday through Friday out of OI, so I hope she's running well. I've got a charter on Thursday. later, Dean

I picked up 100 gals of gas (not E10) at the Liberty station in Plymouth, I'm full and can avoid the E10 hassles at least for a little while.
