White Perch on the Chowan River !!

Well Gang since the wind was cranking again last weekend......... I went up to Wanchese and worked on the boat for a little while then headed to my Dads place on the Chowan river...
Its a little early for perch but we headed out on dads Maycraft to give it a try. It took us a little while to find them but find them we did. Threw out the marker right on top of them then anchored and drifted back right on top of them. It was a steady two hours of perch catchin!!! They were a blast on light tackle. We tossed them all back but it was fun..... Mark

Good grief there's whitecaps in the river! It better stop blowing soon or I'm gonna sell the boat and take up kite surfing. Nice fish by the way.

Yes sir Fred!! There were white caps and they were blowing back up the river in fact we drifted up the river after we set anchor.. Of course there is not much flow that close to the sound...Mark
