Default Sat looking possible??

Well, I thought this weekend was going to be a blowout, but all of a sudden, sat is looking pretty good. It went from 4-6 forecast this morning to 2-3 forecast for sat now. IF it stays at 2-3, I believe I might have to mosey out of Morehead for the maiden cruise to the Big Rock. Anyone else thinking of heading out? Bigsea, are you planning on making two weekends in a row?

Dean have you heard any news out of OI? I heard you on the radio a few weeks ago but you sounded quite a ways away from us.Might be down at the boat to fix a sticking bilge float switch Saturday...Mark

Sat has neen going back and forth. Tues they were calling for 4-6, tues nite,it was 3-5, wed and wed nite they changed to 2-3 again , this moring it was 3-5 and now it's back to 2-3. The crystal ball must be dirty or something. As of right now, I'm heading out of Morehead en route to the Big Rock. Question, as far as OI, were the tuna not around at the rockpile or the point last weekend? I know absolutly nothing about OI and I need to get a chart for that inlet and surrounding waters. Also, does anyone have a fishing report for the rock outa Morehead? Time to go!!!!

Lots of fish caught today by the OI fleet, some limits on tuna and gaffer dolphin. I hear the tuna bite was north. I'ill be fishing Sat-Sun out of AB/Morehead on charters...will have a report from today later this eve.

Yesterday's trip was less productive (AB) than earlier in the week. Fished near the Rise and then towards the 500 line. A few dolphin, lots of knock downs but short bites that didn't return on the drop back. Ended up jigging the AR's so everyone got to wrestle some big jacks and ice some bottom fish.

Don't think I'm going to make this weekend, I looked at the forcast Monday and said no way, checked today and it looks like Saturday may be nice. It actually looks better than last Sat forcast.

Best of luck if you go, we found our fish between the Rise and SW corner, a little inshore. There was warm water and flyers pushed all the way into just offshore of the 240.

May be headed back down the weekend of the 17th if everything falls into place.

The wind cranked this afternoon.

It was more like SW 20-25, which makes it a bit uncomfortable out of OI.

Period is like 5 seconds, way too choppy, but when you get to the stream, it's prolly doable.

Just suit up for the ride in and out, good luck guys.

Yeah, I'm not crazy about the Wave freq. Seas will probally be a little shorter than I like. BUT, the boats hooked up, forecast has been up and down, I need to give the boat a little challenge anyway, so I can see what she'll do. Original plan is to run to the Big Rock, but, we'll see what the seas look like tomorrow at the inlet. Who knows what'll be like. I've seen 2-3 look like both glass and the perfect storm. So, I'll let you guys know what happens....David
