But let me say that I have had many good experiences with them over the years. This is the first real issue I've had and I guess that is what makes it so crazy to me. I've had some minor issues but nothing like a motor with just a few minutes on it burning up. I was the definition of the loyal customer. Oh well, not anymore.

I dropped a quick reply there. I don't want to really elaborate on that site as I'm sure it will create a crap storm and I just don't care enough to get into it with some folks. Thanks for the heads up on the link though. I'm not watching that site much lately it seems.
Yup, My wife suggested the BBB too. I called the number for New Jersey and filled out the form on the website. I wasn't surprised that they have an unsatisfactory rating (or some such term). But the BBB was very professional about it and added my experience to their data base.
Don't feel like you are alone. I wanted to buy two through hull lights but the vendor wanted $29.95 each to ship 'em. That's a lot, considering their size and weight. So, I emailed him and asked about the shipping costs. Here's what I got back:
THE $99.99 IS BELOW COST TO MANUFACTURE THE LIGHT. THE $17 SHIPPING MARKUP MAKES UP FOR THE LOSS ON THE SALE, PAYS PAYPAL AND LEAVES $6 PER LIGHT BASED ON TWO LIGHTS SOLD AND TWO $29.95 SHIPPING FEES COLLECTED FOR THEM. IF YOU THINK THAT MY SERVICES ARE WORTH LESS THAN $6 PER LIGHT THEN GO TO AQUA LIGHTS AND BUY THE EXACT SAME LIGHT (THEY ARE BOTH GENUINE AND CARRY THE AQUALIGHT WARRANTY) AND BUY IT FROM THEM. IN FACT WHEN YOU BUY FROM ME THEY PACK IT AND SHIP IT TO YOU EXACTLY THE SAME AS IF YOU BUY IT FROM THEIR SITE AND PAY MORE. FOR $6 I COULD NOT CARE LESS!
It is the kind of thing that really makes you want to buy from them. It was followed by a little nicer e-mail and I did buy the lights from him. But I have not gotten them yet.......
