Do you know your boats weight? You could try some things like Crouch calculators to get a rough idea. Looking at the pic of your boat it appears to have more equipment than the typical stripped down boat in the performance bulletins anyway.

Bluff,
I have a 2006 206CC Sea Pro, same hull as yours, and it did come factory rigged with Verado. I love it. I bought it in July 2006. The sales guys told all Sea Pros came with Mercs at that point, although I have seen the same hull as I have recently on a lot with a Yamaha on it. Could have been a left over, but I doubt it.

Call the Sea Pro factory. They have been very willing to answer my questions when I have called.

Cap1, do you have fuel #'s on your ride and what HP motor do you have. Bluff has the 150 Yamaha on his and most people would give their eye teeth to get the MPG he get's.
Let's here it .

Cap1 Seapro was bought by brunswick (merc.) within the last couple of years that is when the only sold with merc. power started. My '01 bayboat has a yami on 2-stroke on it. The Tidewater boats that are now in production are from the original owners of Sea Pro.

Just for laughs this is what you fish on when you own a boat company like Sea Pro. They owned the boat before they sold the company. Sorry to hijack your thread with pics of boat porn Bluffman

Welder,
I have a 2006 (Generation 1) 150 Verado. I don't have my perf #s with me now, but if I recall correctly, I burn in the 8-9 gph at cruise (4K-4500 RPM) ~ 26-28 MPH and close to 19 GPH at WOT - 6200 RPM, topping out at 41-42 MPH lightly loaded.
I know everyone rants about the Gen Verados burning so much gas, but I have no complaints. I can run offshore 15 miles, troll for 6 hours, run back in -total 56+ miles including time in the waterway and only burn 12.5 - 13 gallons total. It only sucks the gas at WOT. I am very pleased with the Verado so far and would buy another in a heartbeat. And I was a lifelong OMC/Evinrude man up until '97 when I repowered an older 17' boat with a 90 Mariner.

Cap brings up a greatpoint...the verado mpg "problem" is way overblown...usually preached by those with some type of agenda or "they heard" but never have expereienced for themselves. Yes at WOT they are a bit worse than others - but at cruise even the old gen was in the hunt...I burned 8.5 gph at cruise per motor on my old gen I 250's.........

But it's about so much more than mpg...my boss has two brand new F150's and they are very nice engines..but they shake and clunk louder than any engine I've heard when shifting...when he idles at my dock to talk and has to maintain position floating the clunks interrupt the conversation. Not bashing...but a verado with digital shift is as quiet as you can get..and it always goes in gear as opposed tothe f150 that every now and then catches the cable/gear wrong and has to be manhandled into gear....

I would pay 2 gph at cruise to have my engines automatically sync'd and soft engage like DTS does...Yam and Zuke must agree when they offer it on their 300/350's....Merc puts it on everything from 135 and up...standard...

just food for thought....the bottom line is go drive both of them and decide....

my post was not a knock onthe F150 or a "yam vs...." type thing..the motors are adjusted correctly as his neighbor is a certified yam tech and has been thru them many times...they run perfect....it's more of an observation on solenoid vs cable shifting...no more...

That's cool. Just thought it might help. I'm just happy the clunking went away on my engine.
